Nestled in the heart of the Greek landscape, this serene holiday retreat blends architectural calm with coastal warmth — brought to life through our Gerakas Signature Style in a soothing palette of taupe and suede. Designed as a true escape, the kitchen captures the effortless beauty of two design cultures: the disciplined simplicity of Scandinavia and the expressive tactility of the Aegean.
The Brief
The clients envisioned a holiday home that would feel relaxed, luxurious, and grounded — a space that connected the surrounding natural beauty with clean, enduring design. Their priority was to create a light-filled kitchen that remained practical for hosting and entertaining, while evoking a soft, tactile atmosphere reflective of the Greek islands.
To respond to the brief, the designer selected the Gerakas Signature Style — a perfect fusion of form and feeling. The cabinetry is framed in Solid Oak in Taupe finish, paired with centre panels in the beautifully tactile Suede Mid. The result is calming and cohesive, yet rich in detail. The clean lines and subtle fretting on the doors bring structure, while gentle curves soften the geometry, creating an inviting and timeless composition. With full-height storage, a generous island, and open-plan layout, the kitchen remains both functional and fluid — ideal for both quiet mornings and long summer dinners.
Special Features
The slim fretting: every Gerakas door features our signature slim fretting — a subtle detail that ties each frame together with precision and refinement. In this project, it adds just the right level of definition to the otherwise soft scheme, elevating the minimal lines without overwhelming them.
Harmonised materials: one of the key design philosophies behind this kitchen was cohesion. Every material has been carefully selected to work beautifully together — from the oak grain to the tactile suede centre, and the warm-toned marble worktops. The beauty lies in the balance, allowing clients to choose freely from different finishes and textures, with confidence that the result will always feel harmonised and intentional.
