Shortlisted: SBID AWARDS!

Sola Kitchens is pleased to be among the inspiring global design talent to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards for its entries, Refined Sanctuary and Stone Symphony, in the Kitchen Design UK category.

It’s an incredible honour to have our designs recognised, and we couldn’t be prouder of our talented team for their passion, creativity, and dedication.

Evaluated by a panel of distinguished, industry-leading experts for functionality, innovation, creativity, and technical execution, an SBID Award is considered one of the most coveted accolades for design excellence. Success in this GOLD-rated Awards programme demonstrates the highest level of design skill and professional mastery across the interior design profession.

Refined Sanctuary

Sola Kitchens was commissioned to design and build a bespoke kitchen as part of a wider refurbishment of a West London home, which included the replacement of a traditional conservatory with a striking glass-roofed extension. The brief called for a dark-painted finish, a statement marble worktop, and the inclusion of natural wood to reflect the garden beyond. The resulting design features flat-fronted black cabinetry, walnut accents, and a dramatic Calcutta Apuana marble island with a Neolith breakfast bar. Seamlessly blending form and function, the kitchen creates a striking yet warm focal point within the architect-designed open-plan living space.

Stone Symphony

Sola Kitchens was commissioned to design and install the kitchen for this elegant London apartment, blending the property's period architecture with a calm, contemporary aesthetic. At the heart of the scheme is Sola’s signature Fjord cabinetry in a bespoke Alpi special veneer, paired with Perla Venata quartzite for the worktops, splashback, and island. Brass fixtures by Armac Martin add refined detailing. The result is a serene yet characterful space that balances function and beauty. The design responds sensitively to its surroundings, enhancing original features while introducing a minimalist palette of natural materials that celebrate craftsmanship, eleganc,e and enduring style.

To complete the final stage of judging, the public is now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs - accounting for 10% of the overall results!
