CEO
Sofia is Swedish and the founder of Sola Kitchens. Previously a City lawyer, she turned kitchen designer when she needed a kitchen herself and over the years her designs have been chosen for a number of Magazine front covers. Sofia is always followed by her red Labrador Smilla, and enjoys skiing, running and horseback riding in her spare time!
Pia
Director
Pia is Swedish and has a degree in
Business and Computer Science. She left her previous life in the IT industry
for a second degree in Interior Design. Pia has a long career in interior
design and kitchens specifically! To round off her sharp designs at work, she
spends her free-time creating beautiful oil paintings.
RHIANNON
Head Of Design
A Product Design graduate, Rhiannon has gained a wealth of experience in all things kitchens having worked in the industry since 2007. Striking a perfect balance between creativity and functionality to hit the clients’ brief is what won her the title of Kitchen Designer of the Year in 2018. When she is not in the showroom with a cup of tea in her hand, you’ll find her on the netball courts, planning one of her next culture trips or eating out anywhere she’s not tried before.
Matthew
Senior designer
Matt is a key member of our team possessing over 20 years of experience working as a kitchen designer. He previously worked for Poggenpohl designing contemporary kitchens all over the world including clients in Africa and the Middle-East. Matt enjoys the creative freedom that comes with working at Sola Kitchens. The chance to mix and match different styles and materials encourages him to push the boundaries of kitchen design. Matt is a keen sportsman. An ex rugby player who at weekends can now be found shooting or playing tennis.
Rita
SENIOR DESIGNER
A Product Design graduate, Rita has spent the last 12 years working as a kitchen designer. She has an array of experience working for the best luxury Italian and German kitchen design companies and has worked in Portugal, Singapore and the UK. Rita’s designs are inspired by her love of cooking ensuring always that form follows function. In her spare time, you can find Rita exploring an art gallery or taking on her latest knitting challenge!
LAURA
Senior Designer
Laura, originally from Bath, moved to London to progress her great passion for kitchen design. From even the early stages of her life, her interests has always been in kitchen and interior design. From 2015 she has been designing dream kitchens for her clients, and with her excellent creativity and knowledge she creates beautiful spaces. Laura loves to spend time outside with her friends, family and her two rather playful springer spaniels.
ANTONIO
DESIGNER
Antonio studied Project Design at the University of Northumbria. Since graduating he has worked exclusively in the kitchen and furniture design industry. He thrives at Sola Kitchen as he enjoys thinking creatively outside the box experimenting with a variety of products, textures and materials.
Carla
DESIGNER
Carla has worked as a designer for over 10 years firstly working as an interior designer before specialising in kitchens. Her creations are inspired by her love of Scandinavian design which favours sleek, functional and minimalist styles. When she is not designing kitchens Carla can be found in her garden growing her favourite cut flowers.
Malin
DESIGNER
Malin is Swedish and has designed her very own Swedish Lidhults kitchen. She started her own company in 2018 creating CGI’s for event companies and home owners helping them to optimize their floorplans in order to maximize on space. Her design ethos places beauty, function and detail at the heart of all her creations. Malin enjoys the challenge of combining the perfect textures, colours and materials to create her clients dream kitchens.
SISI
DESIGNER
Sisi has an engineering degree, but most of her career was concentrated in the furniture and kitchen industry. She has more than 15 years’ experience as a kitchen designer, working with some of the European market leaders – Italian, German and French. Sisi enjoys working with Sola kitchens as she loves the freedom of different design combinations, which Sola bespoke product offers. Out of work, she loves spending time with her daughters.
Christine
DESIGNER
Trained as an interior designer in Canada, Christine has worked designing bespoke cabinetry since 2008. Her strong suit is understanding and interpreting homeowners needs and striking the right balance between functionality and aesthetics for any given design. On the weekends, you can find her discovering a new restaurant, travelling or spending quality time with her husband and chihuahua.
FRASER
TECHNICAl DESIGNER
Fraser joined the Sola team as a technical designer in 2022, having graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Industrial Design. A fan of classic Scandinavian design, Fraser is a keen artist who – when he’s not painting – can also be found playing in goal for his Sunday league football team, playing cricket, or plodding around the golf course.
Samira
Technical Designer
Samira was born in Iran. Her love for art and music has created a journey of life to pursue a Master’s degree in interior design in the UK after receiving her Bachelor’s in classical music. Belonging to two different worlds has created a thirst for Samira to know more about other cultures and learn other languages. She is also very keen to study anthropology. Samira is obsessed with space planning and creating immaculate and detailed plans. Creativity is her driving force and nature is her inspiration. When not working, you can find Samira in the kitchen creating a delicious dishes or watching a movie from World cinema.
ANGUS
ORDERS MANAGER
A graduate Product Designer, Angus started his career as an intern at Sola Kitchens in 2013. Since then he has worked as a technical designer, kitchen designer and finally found his passion in running the Orders Department. Angus thrives on design details, tirelessly working through solutions to help in the smooth production and order of your kitchen.
Gudrun
ORDERs Processor
Gudrun is originally from Germany and has a degree in history of art and fashion design. After many years of working as a kitchen designer, she has joined the order processing department at Sola. Gudrun is very creative, has an eye for details and a passion for finding interior design solutions. In her spare time, she enjoys art exhibitions and other cultural events and also goes hiking and appreciating nature.
CARINA
Operations MANAGER
Carina is our super-efficient installation manager who makes sure all installations go as smooth as possible. Having built her own house (yes that’s right, she actually physically built it herself!) Carina knows everything worth knowing about building work!
David
Installation Manager
Having been a carpenter and kitchen fitter since leaving school, David has spent the last ten years managing high end kitchen installations. He prides himself on taking ownership of the installation process and working closely with the design team to deliver the perfect kitchen. His spare time is spent coaching his son’s football team, reading and planning his next trip to the sun. He also has the unusual hobby of collecting Trig points.
Simona
Installation Manager
Simona is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience in design, including 2.5 years as an installation manager. Her extensive background is complemented by a remarkable attention to detail and a keen eye for precision in kitchen planning and installation projects. Beyond her career, Simona’s zest for life takes her on adventures, exploring both nearby and far-off villages with her family. She also has a passion for culinary arts, enjoying the delights of cooking as a personal pastime.
Valentinos
HEAD OF MARKETING
Valentinos is an all-round superstar marketer, and has been marketing since the noughties. His scrap the ‘always done this way’ approach has helped a lot of businesses in the interiors industry to identify and focus on marketing that best serves their customers. Valentinos brings several years of experience as a Marketing Manager for an array of luxury interior brands to his new role as Head of Marketing at Sola Kitchens. In his spare time he loves his fitness and baking, but you will probably catch him in the sun, at the beach and in the sea as his dream is to travel the world.
Sanna
OFFICE MANAGER
Sanna is our office manager who does all the important behind the scenes work that makes the magic happen. After installing a Sola Kitchen into her home in 2011, Sanna was inspired to work for Sola Kitchens to ensure all clients love their kitchen as much as she does.
JAYNE
Finance Manager
Jayne is our efficient and well trusted bookkeeper who keeps track on everything financial. When not focussing on figures, accounts and spreadsheets, she loves fishing and cooking gourmet meals for her family and friends!
TADAS
INSTALLER
Our installer Tadas has great experience with carpentry and will make sure that every little detail of your dream kitchen is finished to perfection. He has a great eye on detail and takes great pride in perfecting every installation.
ROBERT
PAINTER
Robert is our expert painter and installer. Born, bred and trained in Sweden, Robert does true magic with his paint brush! When not painting and installing kitchens, he spends time painting wonderful paintings.
SMILLA
Smilla is our office dog. Being a Labrador she loves eating absolutely everything whilst balancing her busy acting career. In her spare time she likes to go for long walks, chasing squirrels in the park and get her tummy scratched! Woof Woof!
